Judy Goodbody, CFRE, CRTP, Planned Giving Officer

Judy came to Hospice of Santa Barbara in 2016 to establish a formal planned giving program and to build a foundation of support for the vital services provided by HSB. In her role, Judy is responsible for stewarding existing legacy gifts, and facilitating new planned gifts by helping donors reach their philanthropic and estate planning goals. Prior to joining HSB, Judy spearheaded the planned giving program for United Way of Santa Barbara County for 17 years. She currently serves as the executive director of HELP of Carpinteria (a volunteer door-to-door transportation service for  non-driving Carpinteria residents), and owns a tax practice in Carpinteria. She previously held management positions with Procter & Gamble and Core Mark International before entering the financial services field where she worked as a registered investment advisor for more than ten years. Judy is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a Certified Registered Tax Practitioner (CRTP). In 2007 she was honored as one of the top 50 women in business by the Pacific Coast Business Times, and has been recognized for her work by a number of local non-profit organizations. Judy believes in giving back to this community that she has called home for more than 40 years, and is a regular blood donor.   In her spare time she enjoys golfing, gardening, and spending time with friends.
