Community Education
“Because I have loved life, I shall have no sorrow to die...”
It is often said that knowledge is power, and we believe this to be especially true in the case of loss and bereavement issues. Our culture doesn't often talk about these difficult issues, and so when we have to face them head-on, our lack of knowledge makes an already difficult challenge that much harder.
With our Community Education programs, we hope to help that problem. We offer a wide array of educational opportunities, both for health-care professionals and for the larger community, including our free illuminate Speaker Series. Caregiver support, school and community outreach are just some of the ways we reach out to educate and inform.
