Gwendolyn Kilfoyle, AMFT, Bereavement Counselor
Gwendolyn enjoys serving the greater community through the personal touch of one-on-one grief counseling. Her approach to this work is grounded in a trust of the resilience of the human heart and spirit. She enjoys supporting clients to navigate the grief process with self-compassion through a combination of deep listening, mindfulness, somatic processing techniques, and caring companioning. Gwendolyn has worked in the Santa Barbara non-profit sector for nearly 20 years, with an emphasis on community mental health, and serving terminally ill adults, at-risk youth, low-income families, and community college students of diverse backgrounds. Gwendolyn holds a B.A. in psychology from Sonoma State University and M.A. in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where she continues to serve as a Teaching Assistant.
